Question Cheap nvidia GPU for oculus link

I got a oculus quest 2 for Christmas and was excited to play steam vr games using a link cable. Unfortunately, no more than 5-6 minutes into any game, my pc crashes and must be restarted. I am using a pcie x4 usb 3.1/usb-c port to plug in the link cable. I have tried disabling bluetooth, afterburner, rivatuner, giving steam vr and oculus real time priority, and rolling back gpu drivers (i have done clean installs of multiple drivers for my gpu and the one that people claim is most stable is what gets me to 5-6 minutes, the newest drivers wont even recognize link long enough to start it)...the only thing I have not tried yet (that I can think of) is switching to an nvidia gpu, which a lot of people have said is the problem.

My questions are
A: can I run an nvidia gpu in my board at the same time as an amd gpu (not in crossfire or sli) and just only use the nvidia gpu for steam vr? I assume no because of drivers but idk..worth a shot.

B: whats the cheapest nvidia card that can run vr games?

Mb: MSI MPG x570
Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600x
Ram: 2x16gb g.skill ripjaws 3200mhz
Gpu: Radeon rx 480 8gb
Psu: Crosair rmx 750

Any update on this? I have a quest 2 also. I am still learning it. I found out hat virtual desktop allows you to use your quest 2 without a link cable
