Hi,
I want a nice fast PC, that I am going to build myself
I have an old computer(5-8 years old)
I want a new build to do general computing like word etc.
I don't need a gaming PC.
My budget is £150 and I would like it to be fast.
I already have the following:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Speakers
Wifi
And a old computer

I was told that I could keep the following from my old computer:
500GB hard drive
Optical drive

Can you tell me what I need? Or where to get the best deal from??
Thanks a million

This is what I would personally go for.

This SHOULD be all you NEED but a huge boost in performance would also come from an SSD which is included into the price of this, just reinstall windows onto the SSD

Hi thanks for taking your time out to reply!
I like all the prices you have quoted part from the CPU is there any way of getting a cheaper one?

Honestly you don't need an SSD it will make the system a little quicker to boot but not noticeably, this is going to be your best choice and its in your price range.

May i know about your old pc config?
I mean PSU and you case :)

8gb really isn't needed for general surfing on the internet, in fact a lot of games don't even need that much RAM although it wouldn't hurt the I3 is a much faster CPU and a lot more power efficient chip than the AMD
