Cheap printers with least expensive ink cartridges

im in search of a new printer I have a kodak hero it is 1 year old but when i went to change the ink it now wont print the black i cleaned the heads with alcohol but it still not working so i guess i want to replace it I really had no problems with this printer till now whats your take on this

I have found HP printers to be reasonable on ink and there always seems to be coupons to get a certian percentage off every so often , even from HP.
I don't know how handy you are but they do have those refillable ink bottles that you can buy and refill the cartridges your self and it saves money by doing that.
