I'd look for mail order. I got a couple of SimpleTech 128M PC-800
RDRAMs from NewEgg for $60 each. Way too expensive compared to
'regular' memory, but the client wanted a memory upgrade...

I'm not in Toronto, but I will say this: If you care about your
system's stability, "cheap" and "(any)RAM" are not two words I would use
together in the same sentence when shopping.

Spend a little more, and get good-quality stuff with a good
warranty. Crucial or Corsair come immediately to mind.

Happy hunting.

i have been spending about $150 for 2x256M kits. Its way more than SDRAM/DDR
but I have this awsome machine that only uses RDRAM ...

woe is me.

I have 2 256M 711, 45ns ECC chips I can sell ya. My box doesnt recognise
them. has to be 800 45 or better.

write ' deals at dnsplus dot net ' and we can work something out.

I know Crucial doesn't, and never has, offered RDRam. Corsair might have.

Best RDRam is Samsung.

I'm afraid the word "cheap" and the acronym "RDRAM" are mutually exclusive.

There is a company that I deal with in TO.
I live in Northern ON, but use to sell computers.
I still buy a lot from them as they are reliable and professional.
I have always found their RAM very good. e.g. SDRAM was always cas2
although I never paid a prmium.
I believe they sell retail as well.
(905) 944-9000
Eprom is their name.
The price for 256MB should be just over $110

Hope this helps.

I think Corsair does, but thanks for the correction in any case.

And please don't top-post. ;-)

Also, if the OP is familiar enough with the specs. of the RDRAM needed, I'd
take a hard look at ebay. A watchful eye will find RIMMs there at a good to
fair price, but even then hardly a "steal".

Retail prices are simply outrageous.

Doc,
Some are bottom people and some top. This isn't going to change.
