Hey I'm doing a cheap upgrade to an AMD AthlonXP 2600, and I'm looking at two mobos.

One is an Asus A7V600-X with the KT600 chipset and SATA. The other is a Gigabyte 7N400-L Nforce2 Ultra400 with Dual-DDR. What mobo should I go for? SATA would allow future harddrive upgrade, but the Gigabyte would give better performance with its nforce2 chipset and dual-DDR. Any help to determine the best board in terms of quality, problems, performance, etc... would help. Thanks.

I'd go with the 7N400-L

I would concur with Crashman. My previous motherboard had the VIA chipset and through my experiences with it I vowed to avoid it in future upgrades (which I have). Just my $0.02.
