Question Cheap Vega 56 now what

So I snagged a cheap Vega 56 for $279 it’s the MSI Air Boost 8gb model. It was when they sliced the prices to get quick sales vs the 1660ti.

My question is, should I keep the Vega 56 or sell it for like $350 and buy a 1660ti or a 2060?

Not sure what the better option is here the 1660/2060 seem more appealing since they are 2 years newer but idk. I’ve read the Vega has incredible OC potential.

I currently have an rx580 8gb and I want to go 1440p but not until I find a good deal on a decent 27”. Considered a 27” 1080p high refresh also

The vega is a brilliant card. I can't recommend it enough. Be happy you got a good deal and overclock and undervolt that baby!

I’ll have to do that I’ve read of people getting crazy good performance out of it.

I’ve never been a fan of blower style cards tho alwyss worries it won’t cool very well but we will see.

The blower style cards arent all that bad. They cool quite well but can get LOUD.

Keep the Vega. I have a Vega 56 powercolor red dragon edition. I got it over the 2060 due to the extra vram. It's slightly slower I think at stock, but I read they can overclock. I haven't needed to mess with doing that yet.

From what I've seen online, it usually pretty well is ahead of the 1660ti. Have heard that if you undervolt and overclock it, you can get into the neighborhood of the gtx 1080. So the only remaining question is how much ray tracing means to you. If you don't care about that, enjoy the Vega.
