Hi,

I am helping out a friend build new PC that can run Photoshop, Illustrator and be able to edit high resolution images without lag. Later it can be upgraded to work with After Effects etc. with double/triple monitor setup.

Friend would like to spend as little as he can to get started but prefer upgradable build. Right now we are hoping to spend around 50k rupees (~700 dollars). Right now we are looking to buy Ryzen 7 3700, without Graphics card, do we need graphics card?

We will be purchasing everything from Amazon India. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

since the 3700x doesnt have a onboard graphics,it wont show any signal on the monitor if you dont have a dedicated gpu with it.
I recommend getting at least a gt 1030 or 1050Ti,so you can play some games besides doing photoshop and that type of stuff.
I think you can get a used 1030 for 30$.
Heres the build:https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MVxngJ
I went with b550 just because it has more features and better for future proofing than b450 chipset.
X570 is more expensive and out of the budget+i would keep the x570 to the ryzen 9.
i went with 2x8gb of 3600mhz ram
1tb m.2
When you make a build on pcpartpicker, you should change the location by clicking the top right corner. In this case, change it to India. A US part list doesn't...

You also forgot the psu.

A ryzen 7 will take over half your budget on the cpu, so that won't work.

The 2400g is 4 cores/8 threads and has a built in graphics processor, so no gpu needed. If you update the motherboard bios, it can support ryzen 3000 when you can afford that ryzen 7.
The power supply is a re-branded seasonic focus, so it's pretty good.

Thanks, that saves a lot of cost for us. We are also trying to get quotation from local dealer. He tried to sell us Intel CPU(I wasn't present there so don't know which one exactly), by saying AMD CPUs slowdown over time. I have never heard such thing about AMD, any truth to it? I think he is just trying to clear his old inventory.

I've used photoshop on Intel IGPs without issue. As an exercise, here's a sample Intel build.
