Hello. I'm looking for CHEAPEST CPU to suck every bit of performance from a GTX 1080 Ti and a RTX 2080 Ti...

Basically these will be two different builds so you guys can recommend two different CPUs for each GPU...

Both builds will be used for gaming on 1080p @ 60Hz / 1440p @ 60Hz and also on 4k @ 60Hz...

PLEASE MOVE THIS THREAD TO "GPU SECTION" IF NECESSARY. :)

Thanks to all :)

Guys I'll be playing latest AAA Storyline (Campaign/Offline) titles. I'll stick to 1080p or 1440p on modern titles
and go for 4k on some older titles.. actually i wanna play games on Maxed settings ( Even AA settings on 4x or 8x ) and with Graphics Demanding Mods Installed (For Ex: Natural Vision Evolved and Ray Tracing Shader for GTA 5)..

I'll also go for high end Racing VR simulator...

I have a 4k@60Hz LED TV and 1080p@60Hz Monitor.

just keep in mind guys that i want my GPUs to provide their best possible performance.. I'm not satisfied with a base game running at 60FPS cause when i'll install mods the Fps will go down to 45 or even low... So i don't want my processors holding back my GPUs (Both GTX 1080 Ti and RTX 2080 Ti)...
Well, I got 2x GTX1070's in SLI and it does real well with a Xeon e5-2678 v3 at just 2.5ghz, I only paid 98 usd for it, I paired it with a x99 Asus Deluxe board that I had laying around.

It also depends on the game you are running, some games you can have the fastest CPU on the planet and not use the 1080ti much, Though you would want to game at 1440p or better to get the most out of the graphics card like that.

I don't know what a good beget CPU would be on the main stream platforms, though I do know my old Ryzen 7 1700 did well with the same 2 1070's and they can be found cheap 2nd hand.

Best overall: Ryzen 5 3600 - $170
Best Cheap: R3 3300X - $130
Perfect Pairing: R5 3600XT - $250
Since you're not going for refresh rates higher than 60, even a r3 3300X would be fine if you're strapped for cash but I'd spend a bit extra and get R5 3600 instead but that depends on you.
Upcoming R5 3600XT is probably the best pairing you could do with a 2080 Ti.

The point is you said 60Hz so the target is 60fps. Running 60fps at 1080p is similar cpu workload to running 60fps at 4K, the extra workload is predominately on the gpu. Achieving 60fps in AAA games is not that hard with a modern cpu however modded games can be an exception.

Also a 2080Ti at 1080p 60Hz is a waste. The 2080Ti is a great 1440p 144Hz or 4K 60Hz card.
