Hi I'm a Unity game dev making (link) WIP 3D soaring simulator VR
I will purchase an 8K Tv 75".
i5 9600K 100Gb ram and no GPU at all so I'm running a Full HD my actual 4K 48"Tv
Rhino 3D, Substance Painter and Unity
I will buy to scalpers,
Cheapest GPU for 8K Tv? 60 Hz
I will upgrade later? or the prize will never go down?
I'm a pessimist and think that since crypto is here and never will go away, the prize will never return to normal anymore.
Thx

If you simply want to output to 8K, even the GTX 1650 can do that over DisplayPort (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/gtx-1650/). Though I suppose if you want to output this to a TV, having something with native HDMI 2.1 support would be better (at which point, the answer becomes the 3060)

If you want to design your game around 8K... I'd argue unless you want less than the number of billionaires there are in the world to enjoy your game to the fullest, design your game around the lowest spec you're willing to support, then scale up.

Pretty sure the only reasonable recommendation for 8K is the RTX3090. You could get away with any of the lesser RTX 30 series cards and get a 8K 60hz output, but not sure what your frame rate is going to be...

Yes, I need 8K 60hz output. Not 30Hz that gives me dizziness nausea
About FPS, I will play in FullHD mode or VR Odyssey x2K 90Hz 90fps.
I will use Unity in 8K to play in editor (I can reduce play resolution)

I do not design my game around 8K. I design it inside 8K with an HD window resolution. Often use a lot of open tool panels and checking the progress with multiple open visible software running synchronized updating in almost in real-time (Rhino, RizomUV, SubstancePainter, Unity all open at the same time to check the final result and compare with image references).

So I can try with a compromise 3070 or XR 6800 16Gb for now?

Is there something 8K can get you but not say multiple monitors?

I'm using a 4K + other monitors. If I put two 4K there is a line in front of me. And since my work is coding and inspecting surface is not good. 8K offers me more pixels, more monitor surface space, etc. Also often software works better in a single monitor. The problem is that is not curved like my 4k curve TV.
