Hey folks, as the title suggests above, I am looking for a the cheapest GTX 1080 build for my friend. The PC will be assembled in Australia and all parts would be sourced from Australia, unless international delivery is an option. My friends budget is about $2500 AUD, the cheaper the better. I realize there were threads before asking for the same thing, but most parts they listed didn't deliver here.

UPDATE:
- Due to my unrealistic expectations, this build has been turned into a single 1080 build.
- Main purpose is to game

I see you edited your post to $2500AUD

A single 1080 is much better

lol $2000AUD is not even almost halfway enough for a 1080 SLI build. In fact, $2000 would not even get you the two 1080s and SLI compatible motherboard.

The cheapest I've been able to make one in USD is $2000, not including storage. This is $2,681 AUD, which means your friend needs a bigger budget or needs to go with a single 1080. Even then, parts in Australia are more expensive, and the cheapest I was able to make costs $2950 AUD, without storage. I'm doing this with a 6700k, as any lower than that would be pretty ridiculoud. You can go for a 6600k but the price difference is about $100 AUD.
