The list of video cards Blizzard says will allow High Settings: (includes GeForce GTX 260, and Radeon HD 4800)

Best one I could find so far, or is this one a big ripoff? $830 (contains a NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M, and i7-2670QM)

I don't care about anything but price. Screen size don't matter either. Only thing I want is to play D3 at moderate stable framerates on High settings, and I need a laptop because my room and desk is tiny and I have nowhere to put a tower. :*(

It looks better, although I dont know that you really created any more space. Best bet is to get on newegg, find a case you like, read the listed measurements of it and see if it will fit in your desk. I think you can make this happen, you just got to get a little creative:)

The 540m card will not perform like the GTX 260. I would not count on that laptop being able to run diablo 3 on high setting at a stable fram rate. But for the price of that laptap you could make a nice desktop would run d3 without a hickup. Not all towers are large, I cant imagine a desk that was too small for a micro atx/mini itx tower.

Here's a picture of my "battlestation".

The laptop there is a 14incher.

Where should I put a desktop tower with adequate ventilation, and a good spot for low dust accumulation? The place where my laptop is has dimension of 2.5ft lengthwise x 11inch depth x 18.5 inches vertically. I'm against putting the tower near the ground under my desk because of the dust down there, but it does have 2ft vertically.

Don't listen to the turds who post completely useless and unwanted posts/advice. They are challenged on the mental front.

There are plenty of mobile video cards that would be good for that game on high settings. Any card equal to or greater than 5870m/gtx 460m/gtx560m will do the job nicely.

For a comparison of mobile video crads and frame rates in games look here:

If you can find one with a 6970m or better you will smoke it in the highest settings. That is the (slightly underclocked) equivalent of a desktop 6850.

Honestly bro and no offense, but get rid of that second desk unit to the left...it looks like its full of junk anyway lol. Then you could build you a proper gaming PC. DESKTOP!!!!! Like ram said, a gaming laptop is an oxymoron.
