Hi all, I need to build a desktop for my 4k tv. No gaming, no adobe, no maya stuff.
I will do pdf edit, customize, microsoft office works; read e-books and some 4K video watching.
I have searched some and found;

CPU: ??? Intel i3 8100, Ryzen 1200, Ryzen 1600 maybe?
GPU: Amd RX 550, RX560, Nvidia GT 1030
RAM: 8GB 3200 mhz enough?
Motherboard: Any miniATX.

I am leaning to GT 1030, because its lower power consumption. I can't find a good option as a cpu.
Is cpu that important for 4k display except bottlenecking the gpu? Any suggestions?

Remove the GPU, and that is my wifes system which does exactly what you want.
i3-8100
8GB RAM
250GB Samsung SSD

Currently to 2x monitors, but could just as easily be to a TV.

A newer CPU of that same performance would be cheaper.

Any modern CPU with iGPU can output 4k , unless you are gaming. You dont need a dedicated card for that. The processors you have mentioned above are old now and should be ideally more expensive than current gen., depending on where you are.
What is your budget and location???

Really? Is it enough for it; Amd G series or Intel with Iris graphics?
$500, Turkey. But the cheaper, the better for me, since I need to buy e-books.

Just all of this for 4K TV? It isn't needed to add extra ram, right? If so, smiles!
