[SOLVED] Cheapest PC upgrade using some of my Parts?

I would like to reuse some of my current PC parts and go for an upgrade because I have a family member who is willing to buy my old 7th gen hardware from me, so I am going to go for 9th gen if possible.

I currently have:

.. with a 2560x1440 ultrawide monitor.

I would really like an upgrade to 9th gen, and maybe overclocking if its possible and/or cost effective, and definitely want a 32gb Optane memory module. I am already working on getting a 500gb ssd for some game storage. My budget is around $400, but if its not reasonable then i'd like try to stay around there, I can miss out on some features. Thanks!

I'd definitely recommend a 500GB SSD. Not sure why you'd need an Optane stick also though.

$400 gets you an i5-9600K = $260 + Z390 mobo = $145. Going to have to keep/reuse your CPU cooler and DDR4-2400 RAM though.

Do you live in the US near a Microcenter?

This is an overclockable system that is using 9th gen. This upgrade alone will cost you around $400.

If you want to spend another $70 to get the optane memory you can.
