Hey guys please suggest me compatible good SLI rig which costs minimum. Which processor, mobo, Graphic cards(SLI) and memory should i go for? I dont want any HI-FI suggestion please, it should not cost a Bomb for me. Thanks

If you're on a budget, there's no use for SLI. It requires two graphics cards while only giving a 20-30% increase on average, so buying a faster single card will be cheaper than two slower cards in SLI. As for your system, it would be helpful if you gave an approximate budget.

Agreed. The only thing SLI is good for is high res. Now if you have no limits as far as money goes, then, by all means use a dual card solution. But I wouldnt go for SLI on a budget...

well.. socket 754 is dying out.. but if you got a EPOX SLI socket 754 board, a Sempron processor (2600 or higher) some Patriot low Cas Latency RAM and 2 6800XTs of newegg.. that is problably the best deal..

on the other hand.. 754 doesnt have dual channel.. and once you get SLI you really have no future upgrade route.. so i would suggest getting 1 graphics card under 200 that is SLI capable for the future..

i would go for 939 but then your processor is going to be minumum of 140 dollars to buy.. but it is a better choice. (worth the money)

if you want a decent PCI-E video card that is cheap.. i would look at the X800GTO 512MB 256-bit video card on newegg.. incase you want the AA/AS to be a little higher and ok resolution settings..

i would say in the end i would choose

S 939 AMD64 3000+
S 939 Crossfire mobo
X800GTO 512MB 256-bit
2x 512MB patriot low CL ram (2-3-2-5 1T)

the Xpress 200 = 1X16 for 1 video card 2x8 for 2
Xpress 3200 = 1X16 or 2X16 but cost a lot more.

If your on a budget, SLI is probably the worst move you could make. Getting more expensive single card will be cheaper, faster, and will have less compatibility issues. Adding another card does NOT increase performance by 100%, it will increase it by 20-30%.
