I've started work on a new Vectrex game and am looking for a cheap way
of getting my code running on a Vectrex. I've asked about a VecFlash
but it seems that at the moment you need to supply your own cart case,
I don't think any of mine are suitable (needs to have 4 mounting
prongs, mine all have 5?).

Now I'm looking into getting a socketed cart from vectrexcarts.com and
a chip programmer. Would something like this work ok?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4661&item=3877286802&rd=1

Also I'd like to build a multicart, would I be able to build one of
these http://www.harmlesslion.com/stuff/vectrex/ using a cart from
vectrexcarts.com, are there any designs that use a menu system instead
of switches? (I've seen one site with quite a detailed explaination
of the menuing system but most of it went way over my head and there
didn't seem to be any schematics for the cart).

Thanks

Robert

That's the type of programmer I use. Will work for vec roms. Remember
though you need an chip eraser too! If you are just playing around with
the coding a vecFlash is much easier since you can connect it to your
vec and computer at the same time (and no extra chips or eraser needed).
I'd just buy it w/o the case if you are in a hurry.
