hi all :)

I have had this file in my root folder for ages but can't remember if it was there after i installed win2k in 1st place.

Basically this is a txt file that just has multiple entries
that say "windows renabled"

If i delete the file --it gets created again.

Can some1 please tell me what this is?

(the virus scanner says that it is ok 😉

what games do you have installed (i have it to and always thought it was from punkbuster or some anti-cheat program related to one of my games).

eh, i'll procrastinate later...

Probably some sort of anti cheat software. Half life anti cheats liek to make files int eh root directory.

Its safe to delete.

Yep, I think it's the latest patch for Half-Life that is creating this file, I have one in c:\ root.

It's better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick!

so all of your logs also have that line over and over --windows renabled..?

yup, i have HL and CS. But i have never dwnloaded punkbuster.

Thanks tho, i guess i will stop worrying about it.
