IF ATI AND NVIDIA ARE CHEATING WITH DRIVERS THEN WHAT IS OVERCLOCKING. TO GO TO SUCH EXTREAMS AS TO USE WATER TO GET HIGH SCORES IS NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT! TO USE AIR WITH DRIVERS TO POWER THE CARDS IS AS I SEE NOT CHEATING AT ALL! FUTUREMARK SHOULD TAKE A STEP BACK AND RETHINK THESE ACCUSATIONS ABOUT ATI AND NVIDIA USING DRIVERS AS A WAY OF CHEATING. I'VE SEEN THE SCORES AND TO ADD OR COMPARE A SYSTEM THAT IS OC'ED TO A SYSTEM THAT IS NOT CAN CONFUSE SYSTEM OWNERS AND BUYERS. IT SHOULD BE TOLD OR STATED THAT YOU MIGHT BE COMPARING YOUR SYSTEM TO A CHEAT OC'ED SYSTEM. SO BEWARE BEFORE YOU WONDER WHY YOUR SYSTEM IS SLOWER THAN THERES. Before any reply made, I have one comment on this flamatory post: did you notice there is a key with "Caps Lock" labelled. If you press that key you'll notice there is a LED light up. Now, press the "Caps Lock" key again to switch it off then and start typing.

I also think it's important to point out that the "Backspace" key, pressed repeatedly, can erase mistakes (like typing an entire post with the caps on).

On a side and unrelated note, I agree that 3dMark should definitely take GPU overclocking speeds into account. That they do not is rediculous.
Hell, I find it even more repulsive thet they lump the Radeon 9500 and 9700 together...

Your stupid, you really am, buyers don't go to futuremark and compare benchmarks when they buy video cards, they go to computer hardware review sites to see these benchmarks. Anyone who would look at everyone's mark in futuremark before they buy a video card is stupid. Also, i think the only reason ur pissed about people water-cooling their cards are probably because you can't get one, because who doesn't want to get better scores in futuremark and overclocking is the way to get there, why would futuremark put overclocking into consideration?? if they do Gainward card will not be able to run 3dmark 2k3 because Gainward's core clock speed is higher than original clock speed, along with some other companies that increase their card's core and memory speed to get better performance. If futuremark stop overclocked cards to be able benchmark, then there is no point of compare your marks with other cause the same setup would get you the exact same mark..........

Pot? Kettle? Do you believe that most people who buy new hardware research it in any manor beyond asking a tech of some sort 'what should I buy for my pc to play/run x game/program?' (Mind you most people being the vast majority of people who never even look inside the pc once, who never have installed a card personally, or who don't even KNOW what kind of card they have presently...?)

first off if you read any review on any site they always show scores not overclocked to compare stock speeds, and *sometimes* show overclocked scores

theres a big difference between overclocking and altering drivers to do things that wouldnt normally be possible in games

i would read up on teh whole area of video cards and how they work before you come and make "statements" liek that. because i can tell you just about everyone is going to think your a uninformed dork

i am just refering to that -_-" what i was trying to get out is when system owners and buyer try to purchase new video they don't go to futuremark's add and compare system and check out the benchmarks there there is something called hardware review sites on the internet these days which give you non-cheated (as he would call it) results

Why is all these cheating stuffs keep repeating itself? And why not post it in the same topic before? Is it that you guys got nothing better to do?

It's better to help those who got problems with their cards or problem with their windows or something with your time rather than just arguing who's cheating who as who is cheating who is quite obvious by now...

So you dont like caps wel i guess you just dont like to read someone elses opinion. I am not going after the water persay its the idea of the drivers as cheats. If water is ok to brag about than the drivers should be just as good. people take time to make these drivers so the cards work right and the scores should count. People do use fm to test a buy there computers if you go to the site more to read then to play games you will see that. last post
