I got this error 2 months ago on my m11x r2 i7 laptop. After failed attempts with windows repair usb. I tried to reinstall windows. I couldn't because the windows installer couldn't find the C drive (odd is when i tried to load disk, it showed c drive, and x drive, and my document, music, downloads, etc... so obviously the computer can read the drive). I had to take my ssd out, plug it via usb to my main pc, open disk management and manually deleted said drive reformat it and give it a drive-letter. After that, i put the drive back to my laptop and i did successfully installed windows.

But i got the same error again in about a week, and I had to do the same thing all over again.

I've tried to take the laptop apart and reset the CMOS battery. It didn't do anything. I've probably reinstalled the computer around 6 or 7 times already within this 2 months.

as a side note, before I had this error, I had my cpu overclocked. After this error, and after I've reinstalled windows 10, I often get BSOD until i turned off overclock.

at this point I think its either the mobo (which has the cpu soldered onto it), or its the SSD. What do you guys think?

PS: I don't have another disk so I can't really install windows 10 on another drive to test if it is really the SSD.

I'm trying to fix it by go into the command prompt via a windows usb installer.
I'm trying to do bootrec /fixboot and it says element not found

I've done bootrec /fixmbr and it was completed successfully.

trying to figure out how to fix the /fixboot problem

PS: I've taken the ssd from this laptop and connected it to my main pc, all the files are still there. After one fresh install of windows 10 on this laptop, i've downloaded the SSD toolkit (its from adata). I"ve scanned the disk with this toolkit and it didn't report any problem with it. do you still think it's the ssd as oppose to the cpu?

I mentioned that after I recieved my 1st error (of pxe-mof), the following fresh windows 10 reinstall, I begin to get BSOD. Most of the BSOD error were CPU calculation errors (i think it was called WHEAT_something).

use the diskpart.exe command to assign drive letters to your reserved partitions and make sure your drive c is assigned to your windows drive. when you use a external USB drive it might cause the drive partitions to be reassigned. plugging in a USB drive formatted with a primary active partition can trigger the new drive letter assignments.
