Hi guys...
I am building a gaming pc and wanted to make sure that it would be able to run double A and triple A games smoothly. My build is as follows:

MOBO: Msi B450 A-Pro
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 MHz 2x8 gb
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: ZOTAC GTX Geforce 1060 6gb AMP Edition
PSU: Corsair VS550
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
SSD: Kingston 250 gb
CASE: Corsair Spec 01 Case
MONITOR: LG 27GM79G 144Hz Gaming Monitor TN Panel
MOUSE: Logitech G402
KEYBOARD: Gigabyte Mechanical Keyboard
HEADSET: Asus Cerberus


Apart from this, for CPU, do AMD Ryzen cpus heat up more than their INTEL equivalent cpus. And if so, should I use AMD Ryzen 2600 cpu with aftermarket cooler like Cooler Master Hyper H410r or 212, or go for AMD Ryzen 2600x with its stock Wraith Spire cooler??

Are there any other modifications you would suggest to my build in the same price range??

Get a corsair cx 550, seasonic focus 450/550, evga g2 /g3 550w psu instead of that vs550.

That monitor is a freesync one. So get a rx 590 if you can or the rx580 at the least.

Can you tell me what kinds of performance difference there will be in case I go with GTX 1060 6gb instead of AMD RX 580 with my current builds because I heard from a few friends that rx580 has heating issues and has a relatively lower life span??
 
I agree with freezync, however you're better off going with a 1440p monitor with a lower fresh rate as opposed to a lower resolution like 1080p and a high refresh rate. This is primarily because Ryzen boost clocks are typically 1ghz slower than Intel, as well as overclocking capabilities and the IPC of Intel and superior ring bus architecture. It won't be very long or if not imediately after building your AMD based system, you'll quickly realize it will not be able to match FPS with high refresh-rate (with exception to ESports titles). If all you play is ESports titles and not triple A, disregard this post, however if you do play tripple A titles, going with a higher resolution 1440p, will ensure the graphics card is fully utilized and you'll get an over all better visual experience. How much are you willing to spend on a monitor?

I'm willing to spend around 300 US Dollars on the monitor. Won't using a 60Hz monitor show only 60fps while 144Hz will show more than that on screen while playing?And I really want to go with GTX 1060 instead of rx580.
 


Any specific reason you want to go with the gtx 1060? The RX 580 is simply just better in this case.

You don't have to match FPS to refresh rate and it will never be that perfect. In fact the Vega 56 won't match FPS to refresh rate 100% of the time either at 1440p 155hz. THAT is why there's freesync. When FPS drops below the monitor's refresh rate, Freesync/gsync takes over to synchronize frames with refresh rate. If you're going to get hardware that pushes FPS over the monitors refresh rate there's no point in freesync/gsync as this technology will not be utilized. Due to each game and performance demands allocated to hardware there will almost never be a perfect match of 1 to 1 when it comes to FPS and refresh rate. That's why you have these new technologies called GSync/Freesync. However, sure if you can afford it go with the Vega 56.
 
I agree. My thoughts were if the op cannot invest in a powerful gpu, that the 1440p monitor is more of a future investment. The graphics card can be upgraded. I like to steer people towards 1440p as opposed to 1080p because of how powerful hardware has become. I currently run a gtx 1070 on a gsync 1440p 100hz ultra-wide and for Black OPs IIII and I get between 50-70 FPS. But the game-play is smooth and I actually game better on it as opposed to my 1080p 144hz 24" panel, due to screen real estate. 155hz is a nice to have, but you don't always have to run it at that refresh rate to get a smooth playable experience. Definitely go for the vega 56 if funds permit.

Well my budget for the monitor and the graphic card together is around 600 dollars.What should I go with then?
Gtx 1060 and LG 24GM79G
(No specific reason to go with Nvidia, it's just that I haven't heard much good about the AMD graphic series)
Or should I go with any other graphic card and monitor?
Also, in the similar price range, doesn't the gtx 1060 6gb perform a bit better than the rx580?
 
The reason we are telling you to go AMD is because a freesync monitor costs significantly less than a Gsync monitor and freesync is proprietary to AMD. The gsync licensing costs more, but if you ever decide to upgrade the 1060, you'd have a greater potential to upgrade to a nvidia card that has significantly more power. That or you could just purchase a nvidia card and a monitor without gsync or freesync. There's always that option. AMD processors have lower IPC than intel which has less of a chance in matching frames to high refresh rate, which is why I usually tell end users to increase to a higher resolution monitor to ensure the graphics card can be fully utilized. However, if you were to choose that RX590 build, you'd probably be better off with a 2600x and a 1080p freesync monitor for longevity. The first build I specced out for you was based on my personal preference and I stand corrected, therefore i'm changing my selection in the monitor.

The RX 580 8g has been shown to out perform the 1060 6g and this is a RX 590 with 8gigs of vram, which seems to be the best bang for your buck as far as hardware is concerned.

I also wanted to ask that the AMD RX590 Fatboy pulls a larger power draw than the GTX 1060 6gb.
Does it result in more heat thereby reducing it lifespan?
Also which Monitors would u suggest which have 144Hz or higher refresh rate under or around 300 dollars?
It's ok if it doesn't have freesync or gsync.
