4. In general will work, only thing is the PSU, Corsair TXM is better for cheaper. EVGA supernova G2/G3 is even better.

Thanks for the suggested builds guys ill look into these. The build is for gaming. Games like rainbow six siege, LOL, GTA V etc. Im also not that keen on overclocking I just want a solid performing build. Maybe intel will be better im not sure.

I don't think the 1080 is necessary as im not going to be gaming on 4k. My monitor is 1920x1080 144hz. So what if I downgrade the GPU to a 1070 and then upgrade the CPU to a i5 - 8600k. Would that work?

The 1080 is overkill, for 1080p, but it will last you longer, before it needs upgraded again.
