Overall i wanted to make sure tha all the componets worked and that I was not wasting my money. I am a gamer I use my computer for long extents of time. I do not over clock and I planned on spending ~$1,500. To save on all this I shared my new egg list but I could not see it the # was 5407346 and it is under " The whole system"

A few comments:

-Switch the case to the Centurion 534....better interior layout, better cooling than the 5.

-Why the ECS board? There are better 650i options.....namely the MSI P6N SLI 650i....excellent reviews. I'd not trust an ECS as far as I can throw it, 650i or not.

-If you're not overclocking, any particular reason for the Geil? I believe there are cheaper choices. That 6400 CPU only needs 533 RAM, so you can even get 667 RAM and save some money. 800 RAM isn't needed if no overclocking.

-Ditch the NEC opticals. Noisy, grindy sounding. Get Samsung SH-S182's instead.....basically same price, better quality, quieter.

-And lastly and perhaps most importantly, what power supply are you getting? That's VERY important, especially for an 8800 card....it needs enough juice, and your system needs STABLE power for a gamer rig. Spend $100 at least, don't cheap out or you may very well end up regretting it. If budget is a problem, drop the Raptor and get a Seagate Barracuda instead. Your load times won't be quite as fast, but the Seagate is still fast. FAR BETTER to get a 'cuda and a good PSU than a Raptor and a crappy PSU. Seriously.

Look at some tweaks to your list, post your PSU, and you'll have a winner.

For a monitor, I'd highly recommend the Samsung 226BW 22" Widescreen. A 19" widescreen is only about as high as a 17" (a 22" widescreen is about as high as a 19"). You can pick up decent 22" widescreen (like the Samsung) for ~$300.

Get a Corsair HX 620 OR 520 WATT psu . I own the 620 , awesome PSU .

While 650i mobo is affordable, the dilemma is the psu choice. If you don't sli, you can save even more money by getting a P965 mobo. If you do sli, the 550w psu ain't enough for sli. 750w would be minimal.

PARDON My insolence but you don't need a 750watt psu , 900posts and still giving crap advice :lol:

corsair 620watt 50a on 12v ..it will power a gtx sli in a high end system.

How? 8800GTX under load draws up to low 30s amps (overclocked anyway). 50A is not enough to power that.
