I have a custom PC with q9550 2.83ghz york field ,Galaxy GeForce GT 520 1GB 64-bit DDR3 video card ,g31t-m motherboard with 4gb of ram clocked at 400mhz, 700gb hard drive 7200rpm, recently i was messing with the bios and ps/2 ports and usb ports stopped working so now im thinking of getting a new motherboard and new ram what would you guys suggest i get im on a budget so not to expensive i dont OC, i would like the motherboard to have ddr3 ram and pci-express 2.0.

Socket 775 is an obsolete standard. the only place you will find a 775 motherboard is on Ebay or craig's list so buyer beware.

Your other option is to replace MB and CPU (and probably RAM).

If you plan on keeping that processor, you're not going to have that many options with motherboards because it's socket 775. You can still get a few new boards though. Here is what Newegg still sells.

They're basic, but they'll get the job done. I don't think I'd bother upgrading the ram, but make sure you get a board with the proper ram specifications. They have DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 for those boards. If you do want to upgrade, go with 8Gb of DDR3.

well i want a god board dont want to upgrade processor i like it very solid and i can upgrade ram i want faster ram it bottlenecks my performance.
