Check out this shweet FX5900 model!

PLEASE don't tell me about how stupid i am by deciding on Nvidia. I would just like some input on this card I plan to purchase for my new PC.

It's an Albatron brand FX5900U, and it looks like an overclocker's dream. The tri-fan sytstem looks cool. Tell me what you think by going here:

Do you think that's the best FX5900 on the market? (vs. eVGA, Leadtek, MSI, etc.)

It's Staring at ME! Make it STOP!

My GFX cards so bright...., I had to wear shades.

It looks like a Terrier's face to me (although I did notice they were looking for the Phoenix-type look [other direction] after after a few moments).

Anywhoo, could show promise but onyl a true review will telll. Some things have some serious looking gear on them only to find out later it's just cosmetics.

However it is VERY pretty. MMmmm my precious.....

If you are going to stick with NVidia, why not wait for the price to drop? Thats a very expensive card. What do you need to run right now that you cant run with your current card?

Hmm...I think it would be good for some fairy, since that's what the heatsink cover looks like...a nice design nonetheless.

Albatron is a crappy, cheap brand, dont buy into their BS marketing. That heatsink is just a gaudy POS, it seriously looks crappy.

oh come on u fanATIc just because ATi's HSFs dont look nearly as cool u dont have to say it sucks and I heard Albaton makes cards for ELSA and their card are just as good as the ELSA one

I need to take another english class.

What I meant to say was:

"Who cares...as long as it looks cool, right?" or "Who cares...if it looks cool, right?" as applying only punctuation to said statment. Although the latter wasn't the best way to go about it, as it seems to cause misinterpretation.

With this punctuation properly in place, the emphasis creates sarcasm towards those who think looks makes the card.

Hopefully, this clears things up GW.

Well, my ATi card broke....so I'm trying Nvidia out for a while. I have a long graphics card buying life ahead of me, so it wont hurt to try a little of everything.
Besides....ATi cheats in benchmarks

Buying a $300+ graphics card because it "looks cool" is one of the most retarded things i've ever heard. Seriously, how often are you going to show off the innards your PC to somebody...its a freaking PC board, wooo lights...woooo

It's ok if it's cool looking, it's worse when you have to buy a bad card for that. Some people will foolishly buy the 256MB FX5600 and pretend the 256MB is big-time bragging!

They're only doing all this in fact, for nVidia SIMPLY to alleviate the noisy coolers and make the FX line look cool. Nothing more. I don't see many on ATi's side, no?

If my card crapped out and I had the choice between a Ti4200 and a 9500PRO, and had little money and the 9500PRO was 100$ more CDN, I'd obviously go for the Ti4200. I don't see why people find you pro-ATi just because you like to flame around joking against nVidia.
What I obviously would NOT go however, is an FX5600 or any FX card for that matter. They suck, they still do. Nothing proves at the moment that their DX 9 is good.

Anyways, I never would've doubted you could go for nVidia in case they got better and for a real reason, the Ti4200 is still overly competitive in normal performance for its price, against the 9600 and 9500PRO. You did nothing but wise purchasing man.

Well I do think it looks cool, but it also looks like it cools (sorry, that was a terrible pun). my only resources are the marketing "data" from Albatron, but it looks like out of all the other FX5900's, it could cool the best. The whole card is covered , it HAS to be better at overclocking than a stock model like eVGA's or PNY's.

I know Albatron has only been around for about 2 years, but I read reviews of their earlier cards, and they seemed very positive.
