I am looking to buy and build a gaming pc because it has been a long term dream of mine. I want to make sure all the parts i chose are compatible and worth the purchase. Any other advice is also helpful:)
These are the parts:
CPU- i5 7600k w/ cooler master 212 evo
MOBO-Gigabyte z270p-d3
RAM-Corsair Vengeance lpx (2x8gb)
GPU-Gigabyte Windforce Gtx 1060 3gb
PSU-EVGA 500w 80+ white
HDD-WD blue 1tb
SSD- not sure yet
CASE- not sure yet

The i5 are not worth it any more.

Get a Vega rx56 if you can with this.

Installation wise, no. Performance wise, for the same price, an AMD R5 1600X will give you the same performance as a 6600k in gaming (maybe slightly better depending on the game), but will certainly outperform in multi-tasking including every day tasks. So, logically, you would go with the 1600X given you'll get more cores and threads for the same price.

Any recommended cooler for the Ryzen 5 1600x?

You can do as Lucky_SLS said and get the 1600 and overclock with included stock cooler, though that OCing is never guaranteed to work. If you go with 1600X, a Corsair H60 AIO is what I'm using right now and seems to be working well even with an overclock to 4.0 GHz (idle: 40, peak: 75 under stress test, generally in 50's in gaming). If no OC done to the 1600X, idle temps will be around 30 and then you can subtract 5-10 from everything else.

If you oc with the stock cooler, you may top out at 3.8-3.9 or even 4 if you are lucky.
And the stock fan would be under load, so a bit noisy. Other than that, so issues at all.
First try with the stock cooler, if you feel it's too noisy for you, get a Scythe Mugen 5

Ok, I looked around for a bit and came up with an updated list that fits my budget almost perfectly. Is everything compatible? If it is then all i need is a case with a window and my dream of building a pc is complete!
