Checking if everything is compatible!

Solution
Compatible, yes, would I make some changes and tweaks, also yes.

Why the Z97 motherboard with the locked chip?
Why the big Gold PSU? It's very good ,but more expensive than it needs to be.
I'm assuming that the mismatched memory is an error.
Why no SSD?

Slight tuning.

If you really are going to do an in-store pcikup for the processor, then get one of the Micro Center motherboards and snag another $20 or so discount.

Don't buy 2 x 4GB sticks of RAM, get a RAM kit for 8GB. You 'll have potentially better success since the sticks would have been matched to be compatible.

Treat yourself to an SSD.

And why Windows 8,1? WIn 10 is current and everyone loves it better.

Otherwise everything seems great.

I'm using the motherboard you selected to overclock the memory so you can get more performance out of your system. A good H87 and 1600Mhz memory would save a bit.

Good advice, but MicroCenters are not everywhere. The nearest one to me is 500 miles away 🙁

you are buying a new pc already old. go for skylake prices are almost the same, it will be upgradeable and future proof, your configuration is wrong in many part imho (locked cpu on Z motherboard?, psu too big)

you should get

i5-6600
Asrock h170 pro4
kingston hyperx fury 2133mhz 2x8gb
psu evga g2 650w (550w is more than enough for a gtx970, 650 is optimal for future)

about OS in italy we can download Windows from Microsoft's website and buy the product key (for 20€) on legal websites.

I only mentioned it since the OP's config showed that he was getting the processor from Micro Center. No assumptions whether the OP is geographically located near one.
