No surprise with RA giving me money to spend, but I think I've done well
- first time I've done it! Managed to get in the Hall of Fame too
because of it!

Going into my 3rd season with Chelsea now - I have bought and sold the
following (major) player over the past two seasons...

_2004/5 season_

Bought
Gianfranco Zola - £300k (av. 7.84 over 71 (18) games with 16 goals, 51
assists and 21 MoM)
Fernando Torres - £41m
Michael Ballack - £16m
Dede - £8m

Sold
Damien Duff - Man U - £10m
Hernan Crespo - Stuttgart - £1m (just needed to get rid of him)
Eidur Gudjohnsen - Barcelona - £9.25m
Juan Sebastien Veron - Stuttgart - £4.4m
Geremi - R Sociedad - £5m (such good business for a lump of turd)
Babayaro - Mallorca - £1.5m
Scott Parker - Villa - £1.5m

_2005/6 season_

Bought
Tim Weise - £7.5m
Steven Gerrard - £41m
Sebastien Kehl - £4.5m
Alessandro Nesta - £13.5m

Sold
Mutu - Man U - £14.5m (also played him in a ECL qualifier for 2 mins at
end to stop him playing for ManU in ECL!!!)
Didier Drogba - At. Madrid - £13.5m
Petr Cech - Spuds - £6.25m (req. transfer)
Ricardo Carvalho - Barcelona - £13m
Joe Cole - Liverpool - £6m
Glen Johnson - Everton - £4m p/ex (got a young Icelandic midfielder in
return)
Carlo Cudicini - R Sociedad - £3m
Makelele - Monaco - £1m

_2006/7 season_ (so far)

Bought
Thomas Sorenson - Free - good back up for Wiese

Sold
Dede - Inter - £25m

Zola left on a free. Was hoping he'd become a coach, and I'd have signed
him up.

Over two season he averaged 7.84 over 89 (18 as sub) games with 16
goals, 51 assists and 21 MoM - legendary.

So far in the game I have spent £149m and sold £119m - will see how this
season goes, then I may find a lower club to take over (did it before in
CM03/04, taking over Huddersfield in Div 2, taking them to the
Premiership in successive seasons).

Anyways - just thought I'd let you know how I'm going!

Just got an offer from Portugal to be their manager - is it worth it? I
only have the English leagues running?

Hey Tony. What formation and tactics are you using?

4-1-2-1-2

Think it's the default tactic on the game.

I think I've altered it by getting the AMC running up a level.

Other than that - nothing else!

It's a piece of piss with the likes of Chelsea. Try it with Stockport and
then you won't be so hot.

Easy there - as I said above, 'No surprise...'! When I start a new game
for the first time - I don't try to test myself that much, I just try to
get used to the console and everything.

The second time I will probably have a laugh and take over someone like
Woking or Crawley Town!

I think it's normal for the majority of people to take over their club to
get used to the game, I've done this for every version I've played except
FM2005 where straight off the bat I tried to see if I could draw less games
than Mancini at Inter 🙂

Snap, although as CCFC the game's always a challenge anyway!
