[SOLVED] Cherry MX Red Silent Switch vs Regular MX Red.

I wanted to buy the CORSAIR Strafe but wanted to know if there is any drawback or cons of the silent mx red key switch vs a regular mx red besides the keys being silent?

Well, the keys don't feel the same. So if you're used to Reds you'll need some time to get used to it. Depends on you whether having something more silent than MX Red is worth the risk of you possibly liking/disliking the new switches.

IMO, the Silent switches aren't "that" much quieter. But then again, they're not bad switches. So whatever you go for, it'll be a good choice here.

MX Silent has a lighter touch to the keypress, takes less force for the key press to register. I like the feel of the standard reds over the silent.
