CherryMX Browns vs. Silent Reds Typing/Gaming

I am going to buy the Corsair Strafe RGB keyboard and despite watching countless YouTube videos and reading forums I am unable to confirm a decision between the new CherryMX Silent switches (which are quiet reds), or the CherryMX Browns. I will be doing a large amount of gaming between CS:GO and WoW (I know each switch has its own benefit for each game), but I will also be doing a reasonable amount of typing for some of my college courses. I am currently using a Razer Lycosa that is still kicking (similar to the new Razer Deathstalker) and I was noticing that on my current non-mechanical keyboard I pound down on the key until it bottoms out (I have never used a mechanical) so I do not necessarily feel that the browns having a noticeable actuation point would really benefit me over the reds in terms of MMO's and typing. The question is, will I really notice a difference when writing the occasional 5-10 page paper when typing on reds over browns? I would prefer the silent reds because they are a fair deal quieter and I cannot stand the clicking sound that even the browns seem to broadcast. If I will hardly notice a difference between reds and browns when typing the way I do and doing the occasional paper I would much rather go with the quieter keys.

Thanks

Obviously these are not 'gaming' keyboards, but this site does offer quite a bit of information on different switch types as well as having some o-rings for sale that are good for 'bottom-bumpers'. Bottoming out is where all your noise comes from in my experience, and once you get used to the brown's detent you should soon lose that annoying bad habit. Whereas with the reds, no detent = more bottoming out... Well, that is my experience, anyway. But I LOVE browns.

There was a site that offered sound files for all of the switch types, but I seem to have lost that link. Still, I am sure that with a bit of googling it can be found.
