It can do well in older games but mainstream titles within the last couple of years would be a no even at low resolution.

It's okay I suppose. The Intel HD (Cherry Trail) graphics core is a little more powerful than the Intel HD 3000 graphics core that came out in 2011 and definitely less powerful than the Intel HD 4000 which came out in 2012. It is supposed to be up to 2x more powerful than the Intel HD (Bay Trail) graphics core, but that is not the same as saying FPS will be up to 2x better.

If you wanna play PC games with, then keep your expectations very low. Here's Skyrim running on the Teclast X98 Pro which has a Cherry Trail generation Atom CPU. FPS can be increased by editing the SkyrimPref.ini file to disable shadows.
