Part 1 - Jabber Got Sick First

5 players showed up. The doctor, RainbowMan, KaZap, Sizzleface, and
Jabber's you know what. Jabber had to leave early. He was ill.

Part 2 - The Synergy of BNET Lag and FE Corpse Explosion

The team must be moving along well beyond BNET's expectations as the
minions of Diablo are only able to cheat and make use of the bug, er
I'm sorry, the "feature" entitled "NM FE CE", particularly against
those players that have some kind of discrepency between what is being
produced on their own and other's screens and the BNET server. At one
time in the Chaos Sanctuary we were fighting a FE boss pack and had it
down to just the boss. The doctor noticed that the boss was FE and
turned on the Salvation, just for added measure. Three melee pallies
were swinging away at the boss and the doctor was a few yards away
transmitting the sacred Holy Bolts of Healing in the direction of the
melee pallies, despite the fact that in the upper left hand corner of
the screen, all the life lines of the entire partry members and merc
were at full. Well one of the melee pallies placed the killing blow
upon the boss and as expected the boss exploded, but the awful surprise
was that two of the melee pallies were laid to waste by the explosion
despite having full life and likely maxed resists.

Part 3 - A Pally Saved is a Pally Earned

Some great battles in the Plains of Despair - scary too. Gloams, Gloams
and more Gloams. Actually I think they were of the Burning Soul kind.
The doctor was sending bolts out in every direction to either heal or
damage and he was fisting the area also as needed. In one battle, one
pally went down amidst a pack of Gloams, then another pally went down.
(Jabber's you-know-what was in town). That left the doctor and one
melee pally left there and the melee pally was down to about an inch of
his life. Boy oh boy when the doctor saw this he started bolting that
pally as hard and fast as he could becasue he envisioned what would
then happened next if the pally ended up on the ground also. That would
have left the doctor in the middle of a pack of deadly Gloams. Somehow
between potions and Holy Bolts the pally stayed alive and was able to
lay a few Gloams to reast, enough so that the doctor was able to fist
and bolt others and the two of them survived and cleared the way for
the return of the naked paladins from town.

Part 4 - HellForge Drops Ruins

Yes, they were not Runes, they were Ruins. I think one was a HEL and we
even ended up with a RAL rune if I recall correctly. We let out a few
barfs at the sight of some of them. Well we did get a KO rune and
someone did say that taking into account runes that we had, if an UM
rune drops we could make a Duress. Well I vote that if anyone does get
an Um that that person is the one who gets the Duress.

Part 5 - A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heal KaZap

While emptying the area on the the right of the pentagram, KaZap was
heading down to the seal area, while the doctor was healing and bolting
and fisting with the other two in the large zone. The doctor noticed
that KaZap was getting a little low on his life so he ran in the
direction of the seals. As he approached the first seal he got quite a
surprise as there was The Infector of Souls and his pack greeting the
doctor with a flurry of flame and swords. The doctor quickly retreated
and the Venom Lords followed him out to the main area and somehow the
team was able to kill them off. Someone might have died during the
battle but I don't know for sure. Between running around, Bolting and
Zealing, I lost track of all time in the universe up until the time the
last Venon Lord died and the Sanctuary shook to announce the arrival of
the Big Red Dog. I think that the shenanigans of BNET lag gave KaZap
the wrong impression about where he was and where he was going and
caused him to accidentally hit the last seal before he had planned to.
Tsk, tsk. The minions of Diablo will still fail against the Rainbow
Team despite all the cheating and hacking the partake in whilst in
battle with our heroic paladins.

Part 6 - Diablo is Dead

Long live Rainbow Team!!!!
The above report is true to the best of my knowledge.

First of all, Doc must have dust flew over his eyes when Heyfatso fell
down :) Lowest rune is Sol, IIRC.

Now, another Diablo superstition that I'd like to share with everyone,
regarding Forge drops.
>From my experience, 2 players present generates the worst rune drop. 3
or more players usually produces better runes. Another observation of
mine is that at least 3 players (including the quester) should be in
the Forge area to get this "superstitiously" better rune.
If one absolutely cannot get 3 or more players present, another option
to create a new game with the quester alone. If quester is capable of
clearing RoF, then go straight ahead without doing other quests.
Otherwise (in the case of mule rush) immediately switch to a higher
level char before the 1 min mark to keep the game open, clear
everything and switch to quester again after the 5 min mark.

Perhaps forge rushers can share their experiences here?

As for me, here are my approximate drops as I remember them from both
NM and Hell combined (9 chars up to Hell, 2 chars up to NM, and 20+ NM
rushes for forge in pubbie):
2 players: Lem is highest ever
3 or more: 1 or 2 Pul, 1 Mal, 1 Gul
1 player: 1 Ist, 1 Mal, 1 Gul, 4+ Puls (just because I do 1 player more
than 3+ players)

I think it was "Alice" <malice_diablo@yahoo.com> that wrote something
like...

When I started doing the rushes, I was getting an ist just about every
second time, and I had the rusher and rushee both standing near the
forge when the hammer fell.

ranging from about 53-57. I'm not online at the moment so I can't
check.
