Hey, I didnt find many reviews of this PSU, so I ask here, whats your opinion on Chieftec ECO 500W GPE-500S (85+) ? Is it better recommended than like the iArena series for gaming?

Here are some pictures I found on the web from the inside (its from the 600W):

That unit is crap. It doesnt even have OCP according to that review. My 10 year old "HiPro" OEM PSU has OCP and this doesn't.

I would suggest not cheaping out on your power supply, ever.

What country are you in and whats your preferred retail site?

Thanks for the answer, Im from Hungary, there is a wide range of psu's available here
here is the full list: https://www.pcx.hu/tapegyseg_minosegi/1.oldal

im thinking buying the cheap FSP 400W 400-60APN or the higher price Corsair CX450M Bronze or BITFENIX FORMULA 450W, maybe a used fsp700-60ahbc or Chieftec CTG-500-80P

Here's a review so I am gonna say probably not that good to choose are you on a tight budget? because otherwise there's no reason to skimp on the PSU.

Thanks for the answer, yea im on a budget, so i might go for the cheaper ones:

FSP 400W 400-60APN, fsp700-60ahbc or Chieftec CTG-500-80P, would you recommend these?
also Bitfenix formula 450w has a good efficiency so it might worth it for the long run

Maybe the FSP but that would be about it. As was previously stated, Chieftec is a Z grade garbage brand. The only thing they're good for is paper weights. I'm not sure about that Bitfenix model.

Better would be to get a name brand model from Corsair, EVGA or Seasonic.

Could use it to break out a prison window.

Knock that PSU into solid metal and it probably shatters into a million incompetent pieces!

Why do you guys keep wanting to use junk PSUs as paperweights? Do you want your papers to be blown away?

I say use it as a kite. Or attach it to a single helium balloon and pray the winds take it far, far away from anyone with a PC.

Id go for one of these.

The CX450 or cx550 is a very good option
Both of them doesn't have OCP! This was your main argument against the unit, while you recommend the same things...
Chieftec has very good reviews here in Poland, it has better lineups (like Chieftec Proton series, which has OCP and is only like 10$ more). I don't know where the Z-class opinion comes from, really.

Show one of these reviews.

Actual reviews, that is. If a review doesn't have someone doing this, it's not a review.
