Can’t decide between three PSU's for RTX 4070ti and i7-12700k:

  • 1) Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB 1050W Platinum;
  • 2) Chieftec CHIEFTRONIC PowerPlay 1050W Platinum;
  • 3) Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 850W Gold (there is no 1000W option available in my country).
They are tier A according to psucultists tier list and are sold for approximately the same price in my country.

Are the first two PSUs almost the same or Chieftec uses newer version of CWT platform? The third one is ATX3 PSU but it is only 850w so it may be not sufficient enough for future PC upgrades. The first two are not ATX3, so they're not so good too.

Which one should I choose?

I would go with the ATX 3.0 PSU. Plenty to run a 350W GPU. And unless you plan on buying a 4090 or something with a similar power target in the future, not likely to matter much.

4070Ti is only 285W, so even have room for some overclocking if you want.

3rd option is superior to the other 2
Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 is atx 3.0 and has 12VHPWR connector
for new nvidia graphics cards .

i would avoid the chieftec chieftronic power supply
here is a summary from one of its reviews :

  • The EPS and PCIe sockets are identical, but not compatible electrically
  • Transient response is not that good, especially at 3.3 V
  • High inrush current with 230 V
  • EMI suppression could be better
  • Not fully compatible with the newest ATX specification (v2.52)
  • The competition provides much longer warranties
