You won't see the rads heating the water effect until your actual water temperature is at least a few c below ambient room temperature, the more below ambient you are, the more noticeable the heating effect is.

Cheers for the input Ry, and apologies for not responding
I'm actually on hold atm as I've a stinking cold and am thinking through the pump details, as well as hammering the overtime 😛
I may remove the chiller module until after Christmas when I can afford another pump, and spend the interim time brainworking things,
I just feel really Myergh right now though and need to get this cold gone :)

Cheers mate, 2-3 days is my average cold time, I rarely get ill but do get a lot of damp on my lungs riding the bike in rain and doing nightshifts 😛
I'm doing a lot of O/t at the moment as well for Xmas, which has left me a little rundown , but I'm still keeping an eye on the galleries for errant cables hehe

I'm kind of on hold atm mate,
the chillers still hooked up but just as a res though for now,
I want to rethink my loop as the flow from the cards is a trickle into the chiller so I need to get over my Ocd and strip/rebuild the loop entirely,
work is priority at the moment, three more overtime shifts to get out of the way, because I'm on nights they split the 12 hour shift into two, ones an eighthour friday night, the other four hours are made up on the sunday before my normal shift so not a lot of freetime right now 😛
healthwise I'm ok thank you, I only sniffle for two or three days then I'm good again, I just have so much on at the moment that time for the Pc is suffering, I only managed to get onto WoW for about two hours today, first time since last weekend hehe
in fact, whilst typing this I've had an idea, another external box with a Psu and res/pump in it, Psu for all the pumps and fans lol, the Psu in the case can handle regular things like Cpu, drives and gfx cards etc
Of course thats another spend on the cards lol, and some designing to do 😛

Glad you're OK Moto, and it's understandable we're all preparing for the silly season, sometimes our play time has to take a back seat to our obligations, and working with my computer is like play time to me no matter what I'm doing with it, modding, experimenting, game playing, etc.

I've been experimenting using various CFM fans on the heat pipe cooler with my setup, attempting to find the hot side of the peltiers sweet spot temperature for maximum cold side cooling.

Peltier 101, The cold side effect, if the cold side is too cold it affects the hot sides temperature increase, discovered that when I tried to use ice chilled water to cool the peltiers hot side, it did not work!

The peltiers cooling is a balancing act to discover the proper heat range to allow the hot side to reach, in the same respect that the cold side can affect the hot sides results, the reverse can also happen if the hot side gets too hot it warms the cold side, degrading it's cooling performance.

So getting what you want from the peltier is a temperature balancing act.

The way your chiller is setup the hot side and cold side are independent of each other, the hot side is cooled with ambient room temperature, the resulting temperature produced on the cold side is distributed into the chiller box by a circulating fan.

They obvious have found the perfect fan balance to produce constant results in the chiller and obviously that peltier uses far less power than mine does, that's why I'm presently experimenting with various fans to get the max from the cold side of mine by the manipulation of the hot sides heat.

I know that sounds freaking crazy, OK!, but that's how it works.

Nah man, As I stated further up I'm on hold till after winter, too much on atm to be dismantling the Pc every weekend 😛
Planning on a new Mobo, Ssd and 8350 though so the Gf's pc will need ripping apart to get my old mobo and 975, new Psu and Gfx card as well as a new drive and upgrading her to Win7,
lots on, just not water related hehe

thanks Ryan for the welcome! been busy doing some (interior)designing inside my crib...that took all the time out of my days. Plus the internet where I went was slower than your satellite connection 😛 :) and they seem to have Tomshardware forums blocked. OFC i can use a proxy but that means I can't login via my acc 🙁

feels great to finally come back to some inspiring people 😀
