So I bought this cable for my Samsung S5:

When I plug it in it says "Charging" but it dosen't charge at all....

In comparison my old standard non-brand microusb 2.0 cable charged the phone as normal, although the phone said "Charging slowly".

Is this something wrong on my end or is it just what I get for buying a china cable? I specifically looked for a sleeved cable like the one I purchased because I wanted a durable high-quality one.

X Gon Eat Chicken? I question whether this is the link you intended to paste. : P

The "charging slowly" may just be due to the port that you're plugging it into not supplying enough power. You might try a different USB port or charging device.

This was the link I intended to post.

Also: The wall adapter is rated for 2 amps so I really doubt that its not enough.
