The larger issue is geopolitical. Now that China has officially sided with Russia, most civilized nations won't touch them with a 10 ft. pole...or trust their data to reside on Chinese servers....where it will probably be "appropriated" for Chinese use.

Rather than use racist toned language like "civilized" , the correct word is "NATO" aligned countries.

Also the problem is likely that everone has over bought and over built AI and computing infrastructure.

There are probably plenty of places who would store their data in China even knowing it is available for CCP use. They probably just don't know it's available.
Think of a place like P_rnhub. There is a LOT of storage needed for a place like that and a few extra milliseconds of time won't be an issue. 😏😍
