Hi,I have this problem since i bought new gpu,my pc freeze when i play games.First i thought its gpu,i cleaned everything, cpu even power supply. Then i seen chipset gets realy hot.I cant touch him,I put new paste on him ,but nothing.
What program can show me his temp, because in aida, its shows only 35(motherboard),but its much more .Can that freeze my pc and how to fix this?

Well I already have this one:

and in my second pc is this one :

I will change this two and try to find small one,is this cause from cpu or gpu?

Temps for cpu and gpu are excellent, just chispet is extremy hot,I need to fix that ...

I will put on forward and front to blow inside and one back to pull air outside.I hope it will help.

motherboard 36
cpu 32
gpu 46
hdd 36
In games cpu 45,gpu 75,same temps in aida 64.
On picture 2 in which direction i need to turn the cooler?
It seems it blowing air inside cooler.Should i turn heatsink in back pc or fan back of pc?

Yes,but this acer fan is set weird, fan should be set to up,not inside :??:

I had the same problem a few years ago with my old X58 MB. There was hardly any thermal grease between the chipset and heat sink. Just a tiny drop on one side and the rest was down the side and on the board. Guess the automation missed at the factory. It was putting out so much heat it was almost unbearable to be near after a while. I cleaned all the thermal grease off the board and put an even coat on the chipset and put the heat sink back on and the problem went away. Never had a computer problem like the computer freezing up, just the extreme heat.

Seems there is something weird going on with your new GPU. Causing the chipset to over heat. Have you checked to see if there is an update to the GPU driver or is there any way to set it up so that it helps your comp system instead of burdening it???

Turn the fan around?

After putting two 120 mm fans here are the temps:
mb:26
cpu:26
gpu:48
hdd:33
Mb is much lower now,but problem is still here. Can it be something else,i dont have any solution anymore, software problem maybe?

That is the NorthBridge. Just looked it up at Intel. P31 chipset's max temperature is 106 degrees Celcius. Think you are safe.
Make the airflow in your PC case as optimal as you can to get the heat out. Is your PC still freezing?

I will put one more on the front to pull heat from gpu..
I tried crysis on high and far cry 3 on low and no freezing:bounce:
One problem has been, when I tried to shutdown pc its always restart,i restart the bios and fix it.I dont know is it connected?
I installed older gpu driver 197.45.
Temps in games:
motherboard 30 :)
cpu 32
gpu 70
I will test it overnight to be sure, but it seems good. Thanks to everyone, you save me big headeck :)
