Question Chirping BarraCuda HDD

I just bought a Seagate BarraCuda 2TB (ST2000DM008) and I have noticed that occasionally it is making a chirping noise which happens randomly, but doesn't seem to stop until you open a file on the disk or generally access the disk. It's beginning to annoy me. I have run several checks using Seagates tool and all the tests say the drive is healthy. Here is a recording of the noise it makes : https://vocaroo.com/i/s1Li0HdIDy0Q

Any ideas? Should I just return the drive?

I could not hear anything even with my volume very high....

If the drive seems to be working, it could just be an annoying sound of the heads doing a normal periodic sweep in background reads/writes...

You could check with Seagate folks (at least one frequents the forum) to see if they will authorize a return for what you hear as the 'chirp'..
