Hello guys, i have following system:
Ryzen 7 1700x
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB RAM @2933 Mhz
Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming K5
400GB SATA SSD
512 GB M2 SATA SSD
2 TB 7200 rpm HDD SEAGATE BARRACUDA
650w EVGA PE supernova PSU
Hello guys, the 2 TB 7200 rpm HDD SEAGATE BARRACUDA is the subject matter here... i use this drive as both a backup for media and to install videogames. I got this HDD about 2 years ago. And recently i noticed it is having problems playing some video files that used to play without issues, i know the issue is the HDD becouse my pc can play 4k footage stored in the SSDs without issue, also just 2 weeks ago it used to play these same video files from the HDD just fine. So i am having HDD issues, i run CHKDSK and it says everything is fine... Could these issues be caused from some corrupted files or something else that could be fixed with a simple formatting of the HDD? or should i buy a new HDD before this one dies and i loose all my data???
