Chkdsk taking 2 days

I'm not gonna explain too much here as I don't think it's necessary but I've run chkdsk/ f/ r on my PC and it's been stuck on 11% for 2 days now. I know it takes long but is this normal? My hard drive is also 500gb thanks

For 500GB, it should have been done a long time ago. 2 days is insane and means something is wrong, like the driving is dying, bad sectors, head stuck, something.

The fact that you're doing it, means you had issues in the first place.

This is really not normal. Have you checked the SMART status of the drive in the bios? I have a feeling you are dealing with a drive that is failing.

No I haven't, I haven't really touched it as I didn't want to mess anything up

How do I run the diagnostic with chkdsk still running?

As suggested, the drive is likely failing. Stop the checkdisk and backup any important data on the drive ASAP.

If you can't cancel and/or exit the chkdsk then use the reset or power button.
