chkdsk taking a long time, stuck at 10%

I've been having some freezing issues with my PC lately so I've ran a RAM test and now I've gotten to the HDD. It's never shown to have any issues in programs like Hard Disk Sentinel but I figured it was better to be safe than sorry. It's now been about 12 hours since I started, and I'm not sure if I should be worried or not.

The thing is, though, it's an 8TB HDD, and I would assume that the larger an HDD is the longer it will take, yeah? It's also got about 3TB of space used up. Anywho, I'm just wondering if I should get worried about this at any point, as I'm expecting it to take days to finish now.

Solution
Does this happen on a simple chkdsk, or are you using /f and /r switches? They can take a long time on large drives if there are issues.

Oops, completely forgot to mention that. I did indeed use /r.
