Choice In Cpu and motherboard PLEAASE HELP!!

Okay so i am going to be building a new computer soon I'm building it to play most recent games at high settings at 1080p. My Gpu is going to be a xfx radeon 7950. My Question is as far as motherboard + Cpu goes should i go with a Intel i3-3220+ A Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1 --OR-- A AMD FX 6100 + ASUS M5A78L-M LX..? Or are there any other suggestions that would be around that same 165 dollar price range..? Looking for whatever will perform best with my 7950.
