Choice of RAM Frequency

I am planning to buy Asus ROG STRIX X470-I Motherboard with AMD 7 2700X CPU. The motherboard supports 3600 MHz and CPU supports 2933 MHz. I am confused which memory speed should I buy. I understand that fastest speed I can get is lowest of what RAM, CPU or motherboard supports. But I just need to understand what can I use technically without any errors.

Will it produce any errors if:

1. I use RAM above motherboard capacity?

2. If I use RAM below motherboard capacity?

3. If I use RAM above CPU capacity?

4. If I use RAM below CPU capacity?

I am asking this because once I updated my laptop with wrong frequency RAM and it started crashing with blue screen frequently.

Also tell me which RAM would you suggest me for the above motherboard & CPU combo?

I would probably opt for 3000Mhz or 3200Mhz RAM with CL15 latency or faster. See mobo compatibility list for options.

Motherboard supports much higher frequency than that but 3200 - 3400MHz RAM is your best bet.
