[SOLVED] Choices

Solution
From what I've read, the RTX 2060 is too weak to do ray tracing games smoothly right now anyway. I think (for 1080p) you'd need at least a RTX 2070. So with that in mind, the GTX 1660 Ti would seem to be the wiser choice. At least for now.

Solution
Both cards perform pretty similarly at both 1080P and 1440P with the 2060 about 10-15% or so faster in most games. Since you have a 60HZ monitor then both cars would more then be adequate for your needs so it's up to you if you wanna spend the extra money.

As stated above the 2060 is too weak for ray tracing and the 1660 is essentially just a 2060 without the ray tracing technology.

Okay, so it's May 30 and I installed the Gigabyte Aorus gtx 1660 Ti, about a month-ish ago. Using the i5-8600 and MSI Z370 sli-plus mobo ( because I had the gtx 970 sli ) and the Corsair H60 for cooling. No overclocking from cpu or video card. For some reason, and I can't figure out why, all versions of afterburner, and all versions of precision X, don't work. I've Googled my ass off and the cows came home. Nada. I gave up and didn't know about it, but I found and downloaded ASUS gpu Tweak .Fooking better than afterburner for what I monitor. I only use it to monitor, as I said, no o.c. My 1660 Ti has not hit 60 C, (showing over 1900 MHz on-screen), and the i5-8600 cpu has not hit 50 C. for any game, including Metro Exodus, Far Cry 5, Wolfenstein New Colussus, and others. And I thought that my 970 sli was good with temps in low 70's, but now, this is just sick.
So I just wanted to put it out there, if anybody with similar specs as mine, wondered what kind of gaming they will get with a good video card. I decided to not go rtx 2060 because from what I understand when reading and talking with people, I won't miss the ray-tracing and the dlss, especially with a dollar difference of $419.00 [1660 Ti] to $529.00 [2060]. I won't ever see nor appreciate the difference to save over $100.00, Canadian. I don't know what will happen in 5 yrs, but I can live without it for now.
