Yesterday i completly removed and reinstalled my Windows 8.1 from my SSD to my HDD.
But every time i boot my system up i have to choose my operating system, i can choose between Windows 8.1 (Volume 3) and Windows 8.1 (Volume 2).
When i choose volume 3, it boots up like normal, when i choose volume 2, it says it's recovering Windows. The default OS is set to volume 3, but i still need to click on it.
This screen increases my boot up time so does anyone knows how i can remove this screen so i can go directly W8.1 V3? I already tried this http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/change-the-default-operating-system-for-startup-multiboot but that didn't seemed to work.

Thanks in advance!

Solution

Windows key plus 'R'
type msconfig then Enter
Choose Boot Tab
Delete entries other than Current OS
Restart your machine, should go straight to correct OS
Meanwhile it sounds like your System Reserved Partition is in the wrong place, when you install W 8.1 always do so to 'Unallocated Space', ie. delete partitions first...

@snowctrl
My SSD disk space is only 111GB (120). Some programs require to be installed on the C:\ drive which causes to fill up really fast. I only had 10GB of free space. Now my SSD is the D:\ drive so i can choose which program i want to install on that (heavy games etc.).

Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8350 Black Edition
GPU: Club3D Radeon HD 7970 royalAce Tahiti XT2
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 ST1000DM003
SSD: Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB
8GB RAM
