Choosing a cheap hard drive

I am buying a new hard drive in two weeks. I am buying from Micro Center unless there is a good price reason not to. I am mainly looking at two main options. Both are 500 gigabyte hard drives at 6gb/s

Usually I would go with the Seagate but It has really bad reviews. What should I do?

Either one will do, I have 2 x 1TB 7200.12 from Seagate and I had to RMA 1 with in a month! The other drive and the replacement work fine, just a luck of the draw (so no reason to give a review) being that there is only 34 reviews and hundreds if not thousands sold!

The one reason I was hesitant to go with the Hitachi is that I have heard bad things about their drives.

I personally would get the seagate although they had similar issues with drives like the 7200.11 as you heard about Hitachi.
