Hello Everyone,

Recently upgraded my PC but is in need of a new CPU cooler now.

Specs are as follows:

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 MoBo (http://tinyurl.com/o9nexkf)
AMD FX-6300 - Not Overclocked
Cooler Master 600W PSU
Asus Strix GTX 970 4GB
Kingston Hyper X 8GB*2 1800 Mhz
500GB WD HDD

With the upgraded machine all games work fine as much I have tried but the machine gets restarted after sometime.

HWInfo shows Idle temps for CPU at around 25-35C and GPU around 45-50C (Mostly 50C). For Max Load mostly due to games its been seen to go past 55C and after reaching 60-70 machine reboots. Not exactly sure of the exact temp point where it reboots. Apart from games machine is working fine.

If a download and game are ran together the machine could reboot in less than a hour. But when I started WatchDogs game it restarted within 10 minutes. Issue found only with WatchDogs (less than 10 min) and Mad Max (Around 1 hour gameplay).

Wont be doing any OC in near future. So I need help to select a good CPU cooler to meet this specs. Still using the AMD stock cooler. Dont have any other fans attached.

Would mostly like a Air cooler than Liquid one due to easy installments. Selected one as of now is CM TX3 Evo since it can be attached using the 'pull and tight' mechanism rather than screwing. 212 Evo needs a seperate bracket below the board which wont be able to attach with my current CPU case, so if TX3 will do the trick I can get it.

Performance based on games tried..

MGS: Ground Zeroes - No issues found with ultra settings
NFS Rivals - No issues found with ultra settings
Mad Max - Reboots around 1 hour of gameplay. Playing in High - Ultra settings
Watchdogs - Reboots in less than 10 minutes of gameplay. Tried from Ultra to Low settings

Thanks in advance..

Will adding a exhaust fan make any difference? Only have one fan slot on the case though. To make things worse, a fan leaf got broke on my Strix GTX 970 🙁

Also will the reboot be caused due to gpu or cpu heating. When I ran CPU benchmark pc got rebooted while checking 3D settings DirectX.

I meant one of the blades in the GPU fan. Card is brand new and only weeks old. Its due to my own mistake it broke 🙁 Got plenty of time for RMA. Wil see if it causes any issues (will it). If i fix the fan in the case, it will come between the GPU and CPU. So am guessing it will pull the heat out.

It seems good. But not available in India

___________

Might try and change out the fan, with a broken blade the fan will be out of balance, make more noise and could end up damaging things

Bought Hyper 212x. Temp seems normal now. On max load it wont cross 50C. Able to play Mad Max and WatchDogs also. It seems GPU is shaking while gaming at max. Need to do something about the fan. Thanks guys for your help... :)
