Hey guys, so ive decided the specs for my first ever pc build but im currently stuck on picking a good CPU. Im on a budget so I cant go too high end, but at the same time I'd like one that has good performance. Currently ive got a core i5 3570k but I'm not going to be overclocking since I don't have a lot of cooling so what CPU offers good performance, compatibility and affordability for my build?
Also does this spec work? is it compatible?

Here are my specs:
Case: - Coolermaster Case 58$
CD Drive: Asus 22X DVD Drive - 21$
-CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k – 240$
-PSU: Antec VP550P – 60$
SSD: OCZ Agility 4 – 65$
Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 500GB – 57$
-GPU: GTX 660 ti – 320$
-Motherboard: H77 Pro4/MVP– 95$
RAM: 8GB 1600mhz G.Skill Rip Jaw– 38$
Total Amount: 954$

Ive also got to get a monitor so if there no way to cut down the cost of this build, I'm going to remove the SSD.
Also appreciate any suggestions advice since this is my first build. 😉

Regarding the SSD, 32 gigs in inadequate, so is 64 in my opinion. With the 50 or so you save on the 3570k (if you snag it now!) and with another 50 or so if you go with a cheaper video card, you can sang a 240/256 GB SSD, which are floating around for under 200. Just don't go less than 120. Productivity apps and games are huge these days, 10-15 gigs is very common for an install.

Not really, it would most likely blow. Try something like a 7770, or better yet a bigger PSU.

It's enough, he said he is not overclocking. Too close for comfort in my opinion, and your's as well. I would call this the minimum, and highly recommend more, 500 leaves no power for overclocking or adding peripherals, but if it's a quality supply it will run.

Since I can get a GTX670 for a bargain, Im going to switch my PSU to a corsair CX600 just to be safe as in the specs of the GTX 670 it says the minimum is 500w. Also is a WD 500GB HDD good? I was going to get a small 64GB SSD for a boot drive but its too expensive. To anyone who have used it, is this HDD fast and reliable as the only HDD in my system?

How much money?
