That's a hard question to answer without more details. What case do you have? will it fit an atx or only a matx. What are you planning to use the computer for? Will you be using sli/xfire?

personally i would go for the p8z68 over the maximus, if only for the layout. the gene is a micro atx board, with only three pci slots. The p8z68 has more space between the 8x slots if you plan to use crossfire/sli. im not a big fan of having two cards with a millimeter space between them. Again, that's just my preference. making the most informed decision would require more information on your part.

I apologize for not leaving more info. I have the black Apollo nzxt case, I will be using my computer for gaming. And yes there is a high chance of me SLI'ing. I was planning on getting the i7 3770k when it came out in april.

If u know of any other boards in the same price range that u would recommend over these, feel free to mention them. Thanks.
