So I just ordered all my parts for my new gaming pc. Instead of ordering the monitor with all the parts I figured I'd just go out to best buy and take a look at some monitors and choose the one I liked the most. I'll be using it mostly for gaming and web browsing.

Do you guys have any recommendations? I just purchased the 6870 GPU from saphire: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948

Also my budget is about $150-$200, I'd like to get a 22 incher. I'm not sure about resolution or anything like that, I just want it to look the best it can within my price range, any help would be awesome!

for that kind of money you are most likely limited to a TN panel.

what you can choose are:

resolution - 1920x1080 is probably going to be the best you can get in that budget. 1920x1200 is probably out of budget for you.

backlighting - led backlighting will save you energy but can have a blue-white hue (can be adjusted out) and certain models have backlight bleeding problems (around the edges).

inputs - either dvi or hdmi. personally i prefer dvi but if you want to hook it up to a ps3 or something else go for hdmi.

hz range - you just might be able to get a 120hz dual-dvi monitor for that price range. some people claim this is the best for games although personally i dont note a serious improvment over 60hz. if you go with 120hz you need a capable video card and the panel comes with dual link dvi ports.

coating - glossy or matte. matte is best for anti glare, glossy is best for vibrant colors. generally speaking i never advise getting a glossy screen (the glare is too bad).

stand - get one that adjusts how you want. do you require vesa mount for wall hanging?

brand - go with a major brand: viewsonic, asus, acer, dell, etcetera. i would stay away from knock off brands.
