Choosing a monitor

I am genuinely stuck about what monitor to get. This is for my first system.
I will be using it for gaming on high settings. From research, I determined that I should probably get:

~at most 5ms
~1920x1080 / 1920x1200
~120hz

I have searched around and am still stuck. Could someone please recommend some good monitors, preferably no more than £200?

You didn't mention a size you wanted so I'm assuming around 24" would be good. Also I will not be recommending 120Hz monitors because I don't like the look and they tend to be quite a bit more expensive.

The ASUS VS Series VS247H-P is a good solid budget monitor with a quick response time.

If you want a higher quality monitor I would suggest looking at an IPS panel such as the Dell U2412M. The 8ms response time isn't an issue, and you will notice the better colors and sharper detail.

A 120 hz monitor is very expensive and is usually a monitor that you would get for 3D.

Granted you may not be able to get these from Newegg as you may live outside the US but this willgive you the model number to look for when looking at the place you can buy from and they should be in your budget.
